Roles and Permissions

QMENTA's platform supports different types of projects depending on their complexity. Each type of project has its own set of roles.

Standard Projects

The basic structure is the Standard Project which includes 5 different roles:
  • Owners manage entire projects. Owners cannot be removed from the project.
  • Project Admin manage entire projects
  • Data Admins manage all data within the project.
  • Collaborator can contribute to the project with restricted permissions.
  • Guests can browse analysis results within the project.

The Owner role allows one to:
  • Include/exclude other users
  • Assign roles to other users
  • Manage all data within the project (i.e. view, create, edit, delete data), including data from other users
  • The owner cannot be removed from the project

The Project Admin role allows one to:
  • Include/exclude other users
  • Assign roles to other users
  • Manage all data within the project (i.e. view, create, edit, delete data), including data from other users

The Data Admin role allows one to:
  • Manage all data within the project (i.e. view, create, edit, delete data), including data from other users

The Collaborator role allows one to:
  •  Access data from other users (i.e. view, download, visualize operations), but cannot edit or delete data from other users
  •  Edit and delete his own data

The Guest role allows one to:
  •  Access data from other users (i.e. view, download, visualize operations), but cannot edit or delete data from other users

In addition, some of the Contributors can form a group to work together within a large project to share images.

Star Projects

The QMENTA platform supports multi-site studies with fine-grained access settings. The basic structure is star shaped. More information about the roles in a Star Project can be found in this article.

Custom Projects

The flexible architecture of QMENTA's platform allows to define more complex projects with its own set of roles and permissions. For instance, in a multi-site study with different groups or sites we can define a Site PI role which can manage all the data within their own site. In a central reading project we can define a Diagnostic Adjudicator role who can assess the images from all sites.
